This Elsinor 8 Day Onyx Mantel Clock is a beautiful Swiss-made mechanical timepiece dating from approximately 1955–1965. A beautiful and uncommon vintage Swiss-made Elsinor 8-day mechanical mantel clock, dating from approximately 1955–1965. This elegant clock features a striking white translucent onyx case with contrasting green stone corner accents, complemented by ornate gilt/brass fittings and a decorative carrying handle. The attractive 80mm dial has bold Roman numerals, decorative hands and a gold-tone centre, giving the clock a distinctive mid-century European appearance.

At the heart of the clock is a high-quality Swiss LeCoultre Calibre 222 manual-wind 8-day movement, a movement associated with the renowned Jaeger-LeCoultre manufacture. The clock requires winding approximately once every eight days.

The movement has been professionally cleaned and serviced and is currently in excellent working condition, keeping time accurately.

The clock is also in exceptionally good cosmetic condition. The onyx case and glass have no cracks, chips or other damage, making this a particularly well-preserved example.
