This 10pc clock pendulum rating nut set provides a useful assortment of polished brass regulating nuts for larger mechanical clock pendulums. Rating nuts are fitted below the pendulum bob and are used to raise or lower the bob during timekeeping adjustment.

Moving the pendulum bob upward generally makes the clock run faster, while lowering the bob makes it run slower. A correctly fitting rating nut therefore allows small, controlled adjustments during regulation after servicing, restoration or pendulum replacement.

The assortment includes M3 and M2 thread sizes, making it useful for a range of compatible larger pendulum clocks. Thread standards and rod sizes vary between movements, so the thread should always be checked before fitting.
